We were honoured to be invited by designer and podcast host Alex Shield to join a conversation on healthy, natural furniture. 

The episode explored a simple but often overlooked question: what are the materials we bring into our homes every day?

The conversation touched on the origins of Biosofa, our decision to work exclusively with natural materials, and the challenges of creating furniture without relying on plastics, polyurethane foams, or synthetic shortcuts.

Looking beyond the surface

Yet much of what determines comfort, durability, and indoor air quality remains hidden beneath the fabric.

The podcast became an opportunity to discuss what sits behind our approach: solid wood frames, natural latex, jute, cotton, linen, wool, and a manufacturing process that values longevity over disposability.
