Spending time at the University of Bologna was a meaningful experience for us.
Davide Barzaghi, co-founder of Biosofa, was invited to speak to product design students — not to present a finished idea, but to open a conversation. About choices, about responsibility, and about what it means to design in today’s world.
What stood out most was the level of curiosity in the room. The questions were thoughtful, critical, and forward-looking — a clear sign that the next generation of designers is already rethinking the role of design.

Sharing perspectives, not answers
Rather than offering fixed solutions, the lecture focused on sharing our way of thinking.
Why certain decisions are made.
Why some paths are taken, while others are consciously avoided.
The focus was on *how to approach design as a process of awareness* — where every choice has an impact beyond the object itself.
A shared sense of direction
What we took away from Bologna was not only the opportunity to share our experience, but also to listen.
There is a growing sensitivity towards more conscious ways of designing — and a willingness to question established systems.
Moments like this remind us that change does not happen in isolation.
It grows through dialogue.

Looking forward
We are grateful for the invitation and for the openness we encountered.
And we leave inspired — by the energy, the questions, and the sense that design can move in a more thoughtful direction.
